Simple as That

Making Everyday Beautiful

Quirk Books Craft-a-Day Book Giveaway!

Monday, October 15, 2012

I’m so {so, so} excited about today’s darling giveaway sponsored by Quirk Books! I’ve been dying to tell you all about this brand new book by Sarah Godschadt, Craft-a-Day: 365 Simple Handmade Projects, that I had the delightful opportunity to review. It became an instant family favorite the moment it arrived and we’ve already created a few projects inspired by its pages.

Craft-a-Day is filled with 365 simple and unique craft projects to make throughout the year. It includes weekly themes, templates, step-by-step instructions and more than 400 adorable photographs! Author Sarah Goldschadt has created a charming book filled with craft ideas for all ages. The projects are simple enough for children and too cute not to want to make yourself! I’m all about keeping things simple when it comes to crafting and this book was so up my alley with its gorgeous photos and unique, down to earth ideas.
My daughter Emily {age 10} spent a whole afternoon pouring over the book and created this little ghost garland and matching hair barrett inspired by one of Sarah’s projects. She was able to follow the instructions all by herself and it was a lot of fun watching her get creative with such a simple set of supplies! Did you know you can download 6 bonus projects from Craft-a-Day here!?
If you think your family would enjoy your very own copy of Craft-a-Day then today is the best day EVER! Enter below to win a FREE book and get busy crafting! 🙂

My last craft project was actually a day spent making cards (which I haven’t done in forever!) with my son and a dear cousin of mine who is mentally disabled. We had so much fun together that day, we’ve planned another one for November!

My most recent craft is making cards to send for Send Love Today – an organization that sends homemade cards to people (mostly children) with brain cancer.

Oddly enough my latest craft project was with my 7 year old daughter and we made a ghost garland very similar to the one posted! I also painted some thrift store owls for my fall mantel.
